Otwell Mawby is providing comprehensive brownfield services to the Village at Grand Traverse Commons redevelopment. The Village at Grand Traverse Commons is a unique Old World neighborhood: a live, work and play community in a park-like setting in Traverse City, Michigan. The Village is one of the largest historic redevelopment projects in Michigan, renovating a 100 year-old state hospital into modern residential and commercial units.
In just a year and a half, Otwell Mawby has assisted in securing $1.7 million in financial incentives for the redevelopment of Building 50 and is actively engaged in redevelopment projects throughout the balance of Subarea 2 and Subarea 3. Mac McClelland assisted the Minervini Group in marshalling brownfield plans for Building 50 and Subarea 2, resulting in the availability of over $3 million in brownfield incentives and facilitated the approval of Building 50 as a Renaissance Zone, which eliminated property taxes for 12 years.
