Otwell Mawby, P.C. (Otwell Mawby) is providing complete environmental engineering and consulting services for the decommissioning of the Traverse City Light and Power Bayside Power Plant. 

Originally built in 1946, the Bayside Plant was scheduled for demolition in 2013, but after a gas-fired generating plant was brought on line, the decommissioning and demolition was initiated in 2004. 

Otwell Mawby conducted an extensive asbestos survey and prepared an abatement plan, supervised asbestos removal, conducted all environmental assessment, and implemented response activities necessary to add the site to the popular Open Space Park along West Bay in Traverse City.
