Otwell Mawby, P.C. has designed, implemented and managed the operation and sampling of numerous soil and groundwater remediation projects. Otwell Mawby communicates regularly with the regulatory agencies regarding remediation projects so that all requirements are fulfilled effectively and in the most cost effective and timely manner.
Services offered by Otwell Mawby, P.C. in conjunction with soil and groundwater remediation projects include:
- Evaluation of soil and groundwater contamination including geological characterization, plume delineation, and determining groundwater flow characteristics.
- Design and installation of monitor well network. Implement and maintain monitoring schedule to include: sampling, reviewing results, preparing progress reports for client and/or for submittal to regulatory agencies.
- Analysis of remediation options including risk-based evaluations and comparing exposure controls to more aggressive clean-ups. Alternative analyses consider clean-up capability, time to clean-up, and cost efficiency.
- Design of remediation system using appropriate technology including purge and treat systems, soil venting systems, air sparging and enhanced bioremediation systems. Natural unenhanced bioremediation is also a viable alternative for some projects.
- Preparation of Remedial Action Plan for submittal to regulatory agencies, as well as preparation of permits required to start up and operate remediation systems.
